MORANDE VITIS UNICA GRAN RESERVA CARMENERE 750 ML
MORANDE VITIS UNICA GRAN RESERVA CARMENERE 750 ML
The grapes for this wine come from the San Bernardo vineyard, located in the Maipo Valley. This traditional Chilean wine-growing region has a temperate Mediterranean climate, with dry, warm summers and rainfall occurring mainly in winter. Its soils have a stony profile, with sand and clay, and are low in organic matter, allowing the vines to achieve remarkable balance and excellent ripeness. After being hand-harvested, the grapes undergo cluster and berry selection and are fermented using traditional methods in stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation and long pre- and post-fermentation macerations (three to four weeks), the wine is aged 80% in 2,000 and 4,000-liter French oak foudres and 20% in new 225-liter French oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation takes place and it is aged for approximately 16 months.
