Without an age rating, Talisker Port Ruighe is a blend of single malt Scotch aged in reused American and European barrels, with a more intense flavor character.

The whisky then undergoes a final aging process in Port wine casks to give it a fruity touch before being bottled by Talisker at its usual strength of 45.8% Vol.

Master Blender Maureen Robinson describes this release as rich in spicy fruit notes that are “elegantly underscored by clean, fresh smoky notes that signal the Talisker character.”

Tasting notes

Salty notes, complex, crayon notes, orange notes and a touch of white chocolate.  

Sweet, spicy notes with distinctive chocolate and orange undertones. Gradually, smoky notes take over the palate.

The end With notes of cocoa and oak, with hints of mocha and orange. Talisker Port Ruighe has taken on additional characteristics from port casks; however, it adds sweetness and different notes such as plum and chocolate.
