This wine is part of an exclusive group of five ultra-premium wines from Viña San Pedro. It is a voluptuous, modern, and authentic Carménère from the Maule Valley, whose name was inspired by the purple soils found in its vineyards. Hillside soils based on clay and angular stones combine with very hot days and cool nights, providing the ideal conditions for the ripening of this distinctive varietal.

Tasting notes

Elegant, with notes of black fruit, clove, black pepper, tobacco, and cedar. Full-bodied, with smooth tannins and a long, lingering finish.

Cask

The wine was aged for 18 months, 70% in French oak barrels (50% new) and the remaining 30% in foudres.

Pairing

Ideal to accompany pasta with pomodoro or bolognese sauce, Mediterranean cuisine, mature cheeses, pâtés and typical Chilean dishes.
