Escudo Rojo Reserva is an elegant, medium-bodied wine, very rich in fruit. Originating from the Colchagua Valley, this Carmenere is the pure expression of the valley, resulting in a generous, expressive, and very elegant wine.

This wine comes from the Colchagua Valley, in central Chile, 200 km south of Santiago. The vineyard enjoys a Mediterranean climate, specially adapted for the development of Carmenere.

Tasting Notes

Escudo Rojo Reserva Carmenere is a wine made entirely from Carmenere grapes grown in our vineyards. It is a fruit-rich wine with a pronounced aroma. On the palate, it is luscious, full-bodied, and fresh, with balanced acidity. It has a medium intensity with round, silky tannins.

Pairing

This Carmenere is ideal for pairing with grilled red meats, roast lamb, game dishes, and spiced stews. It also complements semi-hard cheeses and cured meats perfectly.
