COGNAC GAUTIER VS 40° 700 ML
COGNAC GAUTIER VS 40° 700 ML
A blend of spirits aged for a minimum of two years, the Cognac Gautier VS embodies the first aging of Cognac, meticulously crafted by Maison Gautier's Cellar Master, Isabelle Couprie. Its harmony stems from the careful blend of Fins Bois and Bons Bois eaux-de-vie, creating a perfectly balanced flavor—unusual in such a young cognac—combining the best of both. The Fins Bois cru is famous for its heavy soil, which produces eaux-de-vie that age quite quickly and express a wonderful aroma of fresh grapes; meanwhile, the coastal location of Bons Bois lends it a rustic and down-to-earth character. Judging by its impressive collection of awards and medals, the quality of this VS expression has not gone unnoticed by experts worldwide.
Located on the banks of the Osme River in the town of Aigre, Gautier Cognac is one of the oldest cognac houses. Its casks rest in an 18th-century watermill, providing a humid microclimate that creates a distinctive flavor. The Gautier family is passionate about the art of aging; their connection to the importance of wood dates back to their 17th-century ancestors, who owned forests near Tronçais. In 1644, Charles Gautier married Jacquette Brochet, the daughter of a winegrower, uniting the skills and experience of two families to create Gautier Cognac.
Maison Gautier combines the history of cognac production with a modern vision of the current market, catering to both seasoned connoisseurs and new cognac enthusiasts who enjoy experimenting. While the people who work at this historic cognac house are deeply rooted in tradition, they also look to the future.
