Tasting Notes
La Piu Belle Rosé 2023 was harvested early, between 3 and 4 weeks before the red grapes ripened at night. It is slowly pressed for 2 hours and then fermented at low temperatures (12°C) for the first half of its fermentation, finishing at higher temperatures (15°C) to give it more body and add aromatic depth.
With Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Carmenere, we aim to create a wine bursting with red fruit aromas, yet surprising with notes of apricot, peach, passion fruit, and hints of citrus from orange and white flowers. On the palate, it delicately fills the mid-palate with vibrant acidity, lending movement to the wine with structure and creaminess, thanks to aging in our barrels. After fermentation, 16% of the wine is transferred to Barroir barrels, where it ages for a month and a half on its fine lees.
