The Atacama Desert is a unique place. From its mysteries and silent life comes Tara, a line of extreme wines, a challenge as complex as its geography. An invitation to savor the taste of the unknown, a journey to the origin.
Tasting notes
Tara Syrah: This wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is dominated by a blend of black fruits, wild balsamic herbs, and black pepper. On the palate, it has good acidity that creates tension, with firm tannins and a medium body. It has a long and persistent finish. / Tara Pinot Noir: This wine has a light ruby red color with a complex nose, with aromas of cherries and raspberries, mixed with aromas of mushroom, fallen leaves, and undergrowth. On the palate, it is intense, with crisp acidity, firm tannins, and good structure. Its minerality and tension are noticeable on the palate due to its origin in calcareous soils. It has an almost salty taste due to the influence of the sea and the soil. / Tara Chardonnay: Tara White Wine 1 is a fresh, vibrant, and mineral wine with a taut and well-structured palate, where the calcareous and saline soil is evident. Aromatically, it's a wine with notes of cucumber, apricot, and flowers, which evolve in the glass as you drink it. The varietal character isn't expressed in a classic way, which we attribute to a very particular and unique terroir, provided by a climate influenced by the Pacific Ocean, with mornings clouded by the fog called "Camanchaca," and the strong wind that cools the vineyards. This creates what we call a desert with a cool climate, but also very arid, with calcareous and saline soils.
Cask

No final clarification or filtration was performed. / Tara Chardonnay: This wine was aged for 24 months in 70% stainless steel tanks and 30% fifth-use 228-liter French oak Burgundy-style barrels. The aim was to obtain a wine with the strongest possible identity of the Atacama Desert. It was neither clarified nor filtered, so sediment may be present. The wine is bottled with all its fine lees, which gives it a special and unique character.
