Tasting notes

Ruby red with violet reflections. Intensely aromatic and fruity, it features prominent notes of red fruit such as cherry and raspberry, as well as aromas of ripe black fruit like plum, blackberry, and cassis, harmoniously combined with spicy hints of black pepper and bay leaves. Furthermore, barrel aging has imparted pleasant sweet notes of caramel, toffee, and vanilla. Structured and medium-bodied with good length, it possesses round, ripe tannins and a pleasant, persistent finish.

Cask

80% of the wine was sent to French and American oak barrels (15% new and 85% used) for malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging for 12 months. The other 20% of the wine was kept in stainless steel tanks to maintain the primary fruit component in the final wine blend.

Pairing

It pairs well with cheeses, red meats and mushroom risotto.
