This new Cabernet Sauvignon in Baettig's catalog is the only one not from Traiguén, but rather from grapes grown by producers with vineyards over 30 years old on the slopes of the Coastal Range in the Maule Valley. Aged for ten months in barrels, it's a wine to be reckoned with—an excellent example of Maule Cabernet Sauvignon, from a region not typically associated with this variety. It possesses the rustic character and powerful tannins characteristic of granite-rich soils, yet it's also incredibly floral and fruity, exuberant on the nose and palate, with a refreshing acidity.
