ALKA (named after the iconic animal, French for "the rooster" in the Mapuche language) is the fruit of the pursuit of Carmenere excellence. With this wine, Jacques and François sought to demonstrate that the Carmenere grape variety alone, cultivated organically and without any blending, can produce a great, complex, and elegant wine. It is the first icon wine produced in Chile made entirely from 100% organic Carmenere grapes.

Breeding

Whole fermentation takes place in new 225L French oak barrels. After fermentation, the wine is returned to the same barrels for 18 months with three rackings for cleaning. 30% of the blend is stored in clay and ceramic amphorae.
