Our Encierra Puquillay wine is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for six months in third- and fourth-use French oak barrels, it's a simple, easy-drinking wine, pleasant on the palate, with soft tannins. It boasts a beautiful ruby ​​red color with intense, bright violet hues. The nose is complex, a blend of dark fruits such as currant, plum, and cherry. On the palate, ripe fruit adds richness and sweetness. The rounded tannins lend a fleshy texture to the wine. Towards the finish, evident notes of strawberry and blackberry provide a certain freshness, which then gives way to a dark chocolate character that enriches the palate.
