THE PLACE

Nestled in the foothills of the Cordillera Frontal, at an altitude of 1,360 meters, this area of ​​Gualtallary known as "Monasterio" enjoys a temperate and arid climate: a true high-altitude desert. Located in the small valley at the foot of the Lomas del Jaboncillo hills, its slopes and ravines enclose a landscape rich in chañar, espinillo, and jarilla trees that grow alongside Malbec vines. For this wine, the plots with the richest soils in caliche and limestone-covered gravel were selected.

HARVEST

The 2019 vintage was exceptional, cool, and dry. Temperatures were below average, and there was a significant temperature range. These weather conditions resulted in excellent natural acidity, well-structured tannins, superb fruit, and no over-ripening.
